Engineer and MBA by training and Retail Fashion Professional by profession, Mridumesh has worked for domestic and global fashion brands like Globus, Next UK, Debenhams, Gap, The Children’s Place, Park Avenue, Ruosh, Florsheim and Footlocker, in India and abroad. In his 2 decades he has experienced joy of launching few brands, pain of shutting down a few and rigor of turning around a few. He feels he has changed more jobs that he would have liked, but is grateful for the cross functional, cross geography experience.
During his stint, Mridumesh has worked with teams that won fashion awards like ET Lifestyle Brand of the Year. CEO of the Year- Footwear Retailing by CEO Magazine. Awards for Best Digital Campaign at InkSpell and was the Solox speaker at 20th IFF (India Fashion Forum). Outside of Fashion, Onesta, a business incubated by him won the “Best Regional Pizza Chain by Zomato” and he was core member of Deming Prize Winning Team in 2004 during his manufacturing stint.
With absolute 0 training in fashion, Mridumesh looks for consumer insights across industries and isb currently working as Business Director with Middle East based fashion retailer, Alshaya. He loves to exchange notes with exciting startups and has made angel investment into 2. Mridumesh aspires to someday complete his PhD and be a teacher.
