Senior Agricultural Attaché, U.S. Consulate General, Mumbai

Lazaro Sandoval is the Senior Agricultural Attaché at the U.S. Consulate General in Mumbai, India. Prior to this position, Sandoval served as Agricultural Attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Buenos Aires from 2015 to 2019.
 
Mr. Sandoval is originally from Santa Cruz, California. He received his bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business from California State University, Fresno and a master’s degree in International Commerce and Policy from George Mason University in Virginia.
 
Mr. Sandoval began his career with the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service in October 2010 and has worked in different program areas prior to his overseas assignments. He began in the Office of Global Analysis as an economist where he analyzed global livestock and poultry markets and trade. Mr. Sandoval was also an economist at the Office of Agreements and Scientific Affairs where he conducted analysis in support of WTO Doha Round negotiations in cooperation with the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative.
